Dobby is a sweet saluki boy who has joined us from the stray kennels!
Dobby is a firm favourite with volunteers, thanks to him being easy on the lead and sweet to walk! He gets along well with all his friends here at the kennels; and is often used as a calm stooge dog for new arrivals and dogs in training due to his placid nature.
Dobby is super intelligent and has been working really hard in his foster home to adapt to home living – at first he exhibited some challenges around sharing food/space/toys but has quickly learned some coping strategies and boundaries around these areas – he will need a rescue savvy home which can continue to help him with this also – he would not be suitable around small children because of this also.
Dobby is very clever and has learned lots of basic commands, as well as crate training – he is food motivated which helps with training and enjoys one on one time with his humans learning new skills.
Dobby is a really affectionate, funny and active young dog who will thrive in a home savvy with rescue dogs, who enjoys a good walking companion.
Dobby is a handsome boy and would likely do well living with another dog for company and playtime! He does have a prey drive so no cats or small furries.
