Gus is a stunning young white Dobermann who came to us originally from the stray kennels.
When Gus first arrived to us, he was very shy around his head and hated it being touched, on further investigation, it was found he had a massive double ear infection and must have been in an incredible amount of pain.
He has now fully recovered from this!
On arrival gus is a big and powerful lad. He loved to jump up and run and play, he has lots of energy and didn’t show to have much in the way of basic training!
Gus has now embarked on 4 months of training with a dog trainer, and has come on leaps and bounds! He walks nicely out with a head collar, and has learned to have much nicer manners
He is still a big lad and will benefit from an adopter with Dobermann experience or similar – they are big bouncy babies who need structure, boundaries and lifelong training – in return you’ll get an abundance of dobie cuddles and silly antics!
Gus still can at times be shy around his head, so we would prefer an adult home for him that can respect his boundaries better, he also may have less sight and hearing than a dog with normal colouring, however he can respond to commands and his name.
Gus needs an active, interactive, committed and loving home that understands the breed, their silliness, and can advocate for him. He could live as a solo dog or with another playful dog after successful intros.
Could you be the proud new parents of Gus?
