Junior is really struggling in kennels and his welfare is seriously at risk we are seeking a suitable forever home asap before we loose him to his depression
Please read his full write up before applying!
Junior is a staffie boy who has been with us for some time. Sadly Junior has not assessed well with other dogs (although some he has been fine with!) so has undergone muzzle training which he must wear out on a walk.
Junior is an anxious boy who came to us after being abandoned and abused in a flat by his last owner despite what he went through, he is so loving and wants nothing more than his own human to snuggle up to.
We are looking for an experienced bull breed guardian for Junior, one who is keen to continue his education and meet his needs, they MUST be confident in their handling, with a competent understanding of the breed.
We have had the generous offer of having Juniors adoption fee part sponsored. He will have an adoption fee of £200 rather than £400. This is NOT to encourage anyone who wants a ‘cheaper’ dog. However it is to make his adoption fee more competitive with the larger charities who are able to have lesser fees than us as an independent. We do still expect an adopter to be in a financial position suitable for a dog.
Junior will need to be a solo pet in a home, he may be okay with visiting children but no resident children due to his dog aversion and not wanting to get any children caught in the midst of that.
Junior is actually really good to walk and walks on a slack lead with good commands and obedience; he has been walked by many different people here who only have great things to say about him! He is a really clever dog and multiple trainers have been really impressed with how quickly he picks things up!
Junior would be better living in a quieter area than a busy city with someone with lots of time for him, we will consider homes further than our 90 minute distance for the right home, however they must be able to travel at least twice to our centre in Gloucestershire to spend time with him.
We know that the requirements for Junior are large, but we really hope we can find the best place for this boy!
Could you be the proud new parents of Junior?
