Ollie is a special little Yorkshire Terrier boy who came to us after a very sad neglect situation. When he arrived, Ollie was so matted, and one of the worst cases we have ever seen in rescue. It is thought that he had not received a bath, groom, or likely a walk in over 4 years.
At one point in his life, he was a much loved family member, evident by the bonds he can still form with people, snuggling up, this boy is desperate to feel secure and loved again.
Ollie currently is in foster with other dogs of varying sizes, he did enter our care with his son, but they were separated as they did not get along! So if he was to live with another dog again we would need to ensure successful intros.
Ollie can be a grumpy old man at times, and needs time to trust before he’s comfortable being physically man handled, picked up etc! He will need a patient and kind home with some experience of rescue dogs.
Ollie will need regular coat maintenance- but also needs time to build up trust with a groomer.
Ollie is desperate to be someone’s treasured pet again- he may look like a well worn Teddy at times, with his overbite and scruffy fur, but he had the potential to be a truly beautiful chap, and that’s what we want for him.
