River is a beautiful small size German Shepherd girl who came to us from the stray kennels.
This poor girl had clearly not long had pups, and was so unsure and afraid when she arrived 
to be ripped from wherever she came from and landed in this strange new place.
However she was always so sweet and kind, and desperate to trust again 
River has been with us for a little while now as she builds up her strength, condition, and embarks on training. She is a nervous dog, especially on walks, and would benefit from an experienced German shepherd owner, preferably in a more rural location.
River loves other dogs, but can get frustrated on a lead trying to get to them. This is being worked on, and she has lots of dog friends off lead! She will still need a competent walker.
River has all the love in the world to give, she is a funny, clever, and beautiful shepherd, with the usual shepherd quirks any GSD lover will know and understand! She is not a dog for a first time dog owner, or for someone with children, as she needs a lot of time dedicated to her.
River is an active dog, and in the right place is going to continue to improve and thrive like we have seen her do. She just needs a chance!
River is house trained and travels well.
