Emil is a really stunning scruffy Romanian boy who came to us originally as a small pup.
Emil was found on the streets of Romania with his siblings, tiny, thin, and full of flees, Emil and his brother and sisters were lucky to be alive.
Rescued there, then transported to the UK at 16 weeks old, we first met Emil when he was still a pup. He was quickly adopted as were his siblings.
Sadly, just before his first birthday, Emil was returned to the rescue. He has been with us now for a few months, developing and learning, and we believe he is now ready to find a family again! Such a young dog facing a lifetime in kennels, is not a future he deserves.
Emil is a large boy, who loves to play, loves to zoom, and is clever and active. He knows basic commands, and is super happy to see you in the mornings, he loves his food, and is quick to learn.
Emil would do well in a home that understands large dogs, preferably Romanian guardian breeds, and is active with space for him to run and play.
Emil will do well with an adult home that understands Romanian dogs can be more sensitive and more like their ancestors than UK bred dogs, Emil has grown up in the UK and is trusting of humans, but he still should be treated with patience and boundaries due to his breed – especially around resources. this isn’t a dog for first time owners, however this boy doesn’t put a paw wrong in kennels and will thrive in the right home – he is coming up to a nice mature age, and would love to be back in a loving home.
Emil loves his walks, his favourite being to splash in muddy puddles! He wants to greet everyone he meets and even kennel shares with another dog.
Could you be the proud new parents of Emil?
