Meet Santa’s Little Helper bull lurcher/whippet![]()
AKA Santa, San or Sanny San San!
Santa came to us from the uk stray kennels and when he first arrived he was a shy boy who needed a loving home to help him decompress
. He was luckily enough to have a foster home who is helping him understand the big world around him.
Here’s what his foster mum had to say about him : “Looking for a dog who will fill your home with love, cuddles and the occasional stolen sandwich? Then let us introduce you to Santa!
Santa can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll discover an incredibly loving, affectionate and cuddly boy. He absolutely loves a good snuggle and is happiest tucked up underneath a cosy blanket, soaking up all the love and attention. If you’re sitting down, don’t be surprised if he puts his front paws up on your shoulders to give you a proper hug. He likes to make sure he gets his fair share of affection and can often be found stealing all the cuddles from the other dogs!
Santa is a bit of a foodie! In fact, he loves food so much that he’ll happily eat just about anything
. He’s quite partial to investigating kitchen worktops. You may occasionally catch him with his front paws up on the counter, checking whether anything tasty has been left unattended. A home with good food storage and secure kitchen habits is definitely a must!
Underneath all those cuddles is a very active, energetic boy who needs plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He is a clever lad who is very responsive to training and already knows some basic commands, including sit and lie down. His recall is good, and we’d love to see this continued with someone confident and experienced in off-lead walking in suitable, safe areas. We think he could really enjoy having a go at agility or other fun activities that challenge his brain as well as his body.“
